What are my responsibilities?

Fault finding and troubleshooting on LAN, WAN, and network-related issues.
Troubleshoot IT devices such as servers, workstations, IP phones, IP cameras, and printers.
Diagnose first & second-level system problems and able to escalate.
Troubleshoot software applications (Java, .Net, VC++, Python).
Examine and assess current processes and deduction of improvements.
Work extensively on scripting language and generate automated reports.
Analyze, interpret, and improve baggage handling system performance based on IT system data and configuration.

What do I need to qualify for the role?

Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the IT field, ideally in the field of automation technology or the airport logistics environment, will be an advantage.
Must have knowledge/experience in managing software applications (Java, .Net, VC++) and Oracle database (SQL, PL/SQL) and be able to generate reports via SQL.
Working knowledge in database (Oracle, SQL Server) for 1st-level troubleshooting, knowledge of database basic programming in SQL, PL/SQL, and generating reports via SQL.
Hands-on development expertise in Java, .NET platform, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL. Knowledge of VC++ will be an added advantage.
Able to handle shift duty individually and work under pressure.
Technical know-how in performing root cause analysis on servers, workstations, printers, scanners, IP phones, and IP Cameras.
Understanding of Baggage Handling System material flow is an advantage.
Knowledge to inspect, test, repair and maintain all areas of the network and hardware-related queries in the Baggage Handling System.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate openly and effectively on all levels across the team, internally and externally.
Any IT-related certification (hardware/software) is an advantage.
