IT NETWORK MANAGER REQUIRED IN DUBAI - Dubai

The Person:
Must have a good working knowledge of various technologies. You will have an excellent track record in managing a successful IT team. Whilst knowledge of the education system is useful, a willingness to learn about this domain is important and a must. Additional responsibility to manage and train users on the School Management System will be required including supporting the Data Manager/SLT in fetching/designing school progress reports.

The Role:
• The role ensures streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with the School’s objectives and lead whole school development of IT
• To promote effective teaching and learning throughout the school by the efficient and effective deployment of IT resources.
• To supervise the IT Technicians and manage all the IT, telecoms, printing and Access Control, CCTV
• Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers, and their associated operating systems and software.
• Manage and ensure optimal operation of Servers including Microsoft (Domain Controllers, DHCP, DNS, File server, Application Server, Remote Desktop Server Farm, SQL Databases, MIS, ERP, Server Clustering and Apple Servers, on both physical and virtual levels.
• Manage AZURE AD, Office 365 Policies and Procedures including Mailbox Archiving, Anti-SPAM filtering, Threat Management etc. including Admissions ERP System.
• Manage and ensure optimal operation of Networks, including full cisco backbone infrastructure with Core, and edge switches. Cisco Call manager, Firewall, Intrusion prevention detection system, Precision cooling system, UPS, DMZ etc.
• Supporting the Data Manager in managing the School MIS – Capita SIMS Technical and Non-Technical including school assessments.
• To lead on and develop the system recovery processes to minimise the risk and impact of a serious disaster and threats to continuity (including management of the appropriate back up regime and virus protection including ransomware protection).
• To be responsible for strategic business and financial planning to ensure that the IT service meets the School’s strategic vision and needs, including accountability for the IT budget in discussion with the Principal and Senior Leadership team.
• Manage, maintain and deploy System Centre Configuration Manager Updates for Server/Clients.
• School wide support for all IWB’s, audio, television and video equipment. Quarterly maintenance of all projectors/smartboards

Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science (servers and networks)
Microsoft Certification in servers
CISCO certification is desirable
