Information Technology Specialist Required in Dubai - Dubai
Responsibilities
System Support
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and networks.
Provide support for the organization's IT systems, including workstations, servers, and peripheral devices.
Assist in the management and support of booking software and related applications.
Technical Assistance
Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
Respond to IT support tickets and incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist in conducting regular system and software updates to maintain security and performance.
Network and Security
Support the maintenance and security of the organization’s network infrastructure.
Assist in implementing and managing data backup and disaster recovery plans.
Monitor network performance and report any issues or breaches to Line Manager.
Website Maintenance
Perform minor website development and maintenance tasks.
Ensure the website is up-to-date, functional, and secure.
Collaborate with outsourced web developers for major updates or redesigns as directed.
Work closely with the Marketing team with regards to any technical modifications needed to be done on the websites.
Vendor and Asset Support
Assist in managing relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
Help with the procurement and management of IT hardware and software assets.
Work with Procurement Department by consulting them for cost-effective purchasing and maintenance of IT equipment.
Documentation and Training
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and procedures.
Assist in developing and updating IT documentation, including user guides and training materials.
Provide training and support to staff on IT systems and best practices.
Personal and Professional Skills
Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and network management.
Proficiency in supporting servers, workstations, and peripheral devices.
Experience with booking software and minor website development.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 0-1year of experience in IT support or a related role.
