Heavy Duty Driver Required in Dubai
Responsibilities
Generic
Execute transportation duties in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner, adhering to approved schedules, routes, SOPs, and operational instructions.
Ensure the safe handling, securing, and protection of passengers, materials, equipment, or catering items during transit to prevent damage, loss, or safety incidents.
Comply with UAE road traffic laws, company transport policies, Health & Safety standards, and site-specific safety regulations to ensure a safe and compliant operating environment.
Conduct thorough pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and operationally ready, reporting defects, damages, or breakdowns promptly.
Maintain accurate and complete operational documentation, including trip logs, inspections, delivery records, and incident reports, in line with company and audit requirements.
Demonstrate professional conduct, effective communication, and cooperation with supervisors, colleagues, and operational teams to support smooth daily operations.
Identify, report, and escalate incidents, near misses, delays, route deviations, or operational risks in a timely manner to enable corrective action and service continuity.
Support operational continuity by adhering to assigned duties and contributing to service reliability through flexibility, responsiveness, and compliance with operational requirements.
Efs
Provide safe, punctual, and reliable transportation of employees between accommodation, workplace, and designated pick-up and drop-off locations as per approved routes and schedules.
Adhere to assigned rosters, trip schedules, and route plans to ensure uninterrupted employee transport services and minimal delays.
Maintain a respectful, orderly, and secure travel environment through courteous interaction, adherence to conduct standards, and enforcement of transport rules.
Support workforce mobility by proactively escalating delays, route challenges, or vehicle issues that may impact employee transportation services.
Scl
Ensure timely and accurate transportation of materials, equipment, and supplies between warehouses, production units, and operational locations as per dispatch and delivery schedules.
Safely load, transport, and unload goods, ensuring correct handling, securing, and protection of cargo throughout the logistics process.
Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and receiving teams to verify quantities, documentation, and ensure smooth handover of materials.
Support efficient logistics operations by meeting delivery timelines and proactively communicating delays, risks, or deviations.
Qualifications
Education Qualification:
a) High School Certificate Qualification or equivalent qualification (must have)
b) Valid U.A.E. Driving License - Category 4 (Heavy Truck) and successful completion of the company driving test (Mandatory)
Work Experience
Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant driving experience
Area of Experience: Experience in a logistics, transport, aviation, or industrial environment as a Truck Driver or in a similar role.
Skills
Proficient in written and spoken English, with good communication skills and attention to detail
Sound knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and preventive maintenance, including tyre pressure, oil, and water level checks
Knowledge of First Aid, safety procedures, and basic firefighting (Preferred)
Ability to safely and efficiently operate fully loaded vehicles
Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Security Pass (RASP)
Physically fit to perform manual handling tasks, including bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and ladder usage
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Willingness and flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
