We are currently seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team and contribute to the visual storytelling of our publications.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Graphic Designer with a passion for magazine design to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a flair for design, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing layouts and graphics that align with our brand and captivate our audience.
Responsibilities:
Design and layout of magazine pages, including features, regulars, and special sections, ensuring a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing look
Collaborate with the team to develop visuals and design concepts to enhance articles
Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all publications
Source high-resolution photos, colour correct, retouch, and cut out images
Ensure all designs are print-ready and meet production specifications
Design in-house ads and marketing collaterals for digital, social media and events
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high quality
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative design techniques
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
3+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in the magazine or publishing industry
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Strong portfolio showcasing magazine design work
Excellent typography, layout, and color theory skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow directions and adapt designs based on feedback
Animation and video editing knowledge is a plus
Experience with digital publications and web design is a plus
