General Accountant Required in Dubai
Key Responsibilities include:
1. MIS and Performance review
· Prepare & analyze MIS reports (Balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other
financial reports.
· Assist in month end closing
· Budget variance analysis
· Timely and prompt updating of transactions
· Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
· Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted
accounting procedures
2. Invoicing and Accounts receivables management
· Prepare all the invoices with appropriate documentation and approvals
· Respond to all the receivable queries
· Reconcile customer statements periodically
· Communicate effectively with clients
· Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company
policy and accepted accounting practices
3. Audit assistance
· Timely and efficient support to the Auditors by assisting with different types of schedules
required in the Audit process both internal & External.
4. Internal Controls & Statutory compliance
· Adhere to the accounting policies and procedures
· Assist in setting up internal control systems in the organization
· Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
· VAT return preparation and filing
5. Budgets & Forecasts
· Continuous monitoring of annual budget
· Be active part in Forecast of expenses
6. Treasury Management & Payables Management
· Petty cash Management
· Ensure payments are on time by having a proper payment plan
7. Trade Finance(Import/Export LC)
· Preparation of import LC application as per the PI or Contract from suppliers
· Preparation of Annexure with all the clauses related to purchase contract/PI
· Follow up with bank for the opening of LC
· Verification and Acceptance of Documents up on receipt of acceptance advice from the
bank
· Verification and Preparation of supporting documents related to received material for the
acceptance
· Reconciliation of GRN with contract and follow up with supplier for the balance material
· Preparation of TR request and follow up with Bank for the TR issuance.
· Reconciliation of TR statement with Bank.
· Closing of LC account in ERP on monthly basis for book closure.
· Reviews letter of credit documents to determine compliance with international standards
· Verifies terms of credit, such as amount, insurance coverage, and shipping conditions to
determine compliance with established standards
· Approving of Export LC for the delivery of material against the contract /LPO
· Verification and Submission of Export LC documents to customers with full back-up of
deliveries.
· Timely Follow up for countersigned LC documents with customers
· Preparation of Export LC documents on the basis of payment certificate from the
customers
· Follow up with bank for the negotiation of LC documents
Requirements:
Educational Qualification:
· Masters Bachelor's degree / CA (Inter) with minimum 5 years of experience.
Other Skills
· Should be a good Team player
· Co-ordinate and liaise with different departments in the team for information required
· Prior experience in Manufacturing/Trading concern is an added advantage
· Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
· Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in
researching as it relates to accounting issues
· ERP Experience is a plus
