Our Curriculum

The curriculum at DBS is modeled on the National Curriculum for England, significantly enhanced by Wow Learning, the study of Arabic throughout, and a challenging set of GCSE and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. The opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied extra-curricular activities programme (ECA).

As a Taaleem teacher, you will join one of the largest, most respected education providers in the United Arab Emirates. Taaleem (which means education in Arabic) was established in 2004 and now has students attending our international schools and pre-schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Person Specification

DBS EH seeks to appoint enthusiastic and committed outstanding teachers who are always experienced in teaching the National Curriculum for England, either in the UK or in an international setting. Aside from experience, personality is very important, we look for inspirational teachers who leave a lasting impression on students for years to follow. If you can demonstrate outstanding standards of teaching and learning, with a passionate, enthusiastic, creative, and dynamic attitude then we want to hear from you!

Education:

Due to KHDA regulations, we can only employ individuals with QTS and a degree in the specialist subject that you teach.

· High Quality Degree (2:1 and above).

· PGCE, PGDE and/or QTS, or Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.).

Experience:

· Minimum 2 years’ experience of teaching the British Curriculum.

· GCSE Teaching Experience – essential.

· A’ Level Teaching Experience – highly desirable.

· An individual with confidence and a proven track record of outstanding results as a leading subject teacher.
