Vieco Pharmaceuticals is a pharmaceutical factory in JAFZA Dubai for the production of solid (Tablets and Capsules), Liquid (Syrups) and semi-solid (Ointment and Creams) pharmaceutical products.
Job brief:
The Warehouse Worker will involve general warehouse and dispensing area assignments to include, but are not limited to:
a. Moving the product into appropriate slotting within the warehouse
b. Dispense the materials to operating departments.
c. Dispatch the finished products to the customers
This position will be responsible for receiving, storing, inventorying, identifying, dispensing, picking, packing, and shipping products & materials. This is a Full-Time position.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
To adhere to the cGMP& GSP principles, manage all warehouse & dispensing operations in an effective manner.
Accountable for departmental KPIs to ensure that departmental objectives are met.
To ensure workplace health, safety and cleanliness are met.
Controls inventory levels
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by following the security procedures and protocols and doing daily safety walkthroughs and inspections.
Maintains physical condition and cleanliness of the warehouse/dispensing area, tools, and equipment.
Inspects equipment and informs the WHS supervisor to issue work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Monitor temperature & RH trends of the warehouse & dispensing area and inform the WHS supervisor in case of any excursions.
Implement and adhere to the 5S methodology in the warehouse
Loads, unloads, picks, and packs materials and finished products onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or using forklifts equipment.
Safely operates an industrial truck or pallet jack to assist in loading and transferring materials and products.
Lifts heavy materials by hand.
Unloading trailers & inspecting incoming materials and reporting damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping.
Ensure material Storage in its dedicated area.
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials/products or marks information on cases or containers as per operating SOP.
Oversee proper utilization of warehousing space.
Prepare the materials for the production & packaging departments.
Perform weighing and dispensing activities for the raw materials.
Prepare, arrange & ship finished products to meet customer requirements.
Loading trailers of all sizes with proper bracing and weight distribution.
Count, weigh, and records all units of materials moved or handled in a timely manner in the dedicated forms as per operating SOP.
Enter the daily transaction in the SAP system in a timely manner.
Ensures that all documentation is complete and adhering to the ALCOA+ principals.
Works closely with stakeholders’ departments to ensure ample supply and timely deliveries of all materials & finished goods.
Participate in the physical count and cycle count activities.
Investigate material damage and material shortages.
Attend all required GMP training as well as related ON the Job Training
Maintains effective work relationships with staff.
Ensure organization profitability by controlling operating costs.
Participate in continuous improvement projects to help gain operational excellence by sharing process improvement ideas.
Follows work orders & oral instructions received by the direct supervisor.
Meets performance standards for quality, productivity, reliability, initiative, safety, and work relationships
Complies with local authority regulations, cGMP, GSP, and company standard operating procedures.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Willingness and flexibility to work off shifts.
Attends when requested even out of duty hours and holidays.
Job requirements:
Core Competency:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office with Excel
Basic knowledge of SAP system
Strong commitment to safety & housekeeping
Works in manufacturing environments.
A team player
Physically fit to perform the manual activities & lifting materials up to 30 kg.
Good communication skills
Ability to manage or prepare the dispensing of materials
Strong mathematical and logic skills
Qualification/Functional knowledge:
High school diploma.
Minimum 2 yrs. previous experience in the same role in food, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical industries.
English literacy (read, speak and write English)
Forklift certification preferred
