Financial Controller Required in Dubai

Our client, is a leading holding company focusing on the development of high valued-added resources, infrastructure and energy projects in Africa is seeking a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing day to day financial and accounting activities across multiples offices and geographies. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a promosing start up and be part of impacting future business using leading technologies.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the following

Managing annual audit review and tax preparations, creating and maintaing financial models,
Overseeing all global accounting functions and ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
Set KPI on controlling systems across departments, develop tools for automation and monthly reports, and present to leadership team
Work with leadership to create business cases and forecast financial impacts, including setting revenue and profitability strategy

Candidate Requirements

5-8 years of experience working in an accounting/finance function preferably in financial services/technology companies
Should possess strong accounting certifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA
Strong knowledge of automated accounting / bookkeeping / auditing systems across countries and different entities preferred
Experience in creating business plans and financial models
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent practical experience
Passion for or knowledge of the blockchain and cryptocurrency space
