FINANCIAL ANALYST REQUIRED IN DUBAI

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide financial and analytical support to Department Head.
• To review purchase, sales data of all the entities of DOAM & Its Managed Buildings and Nationwide Management Services;
• Coordination with the accounts and finance department for data generation from oracle;
• Discussion with the team on various entries;
• Advise the Team for changes required in system as per UAE VAT law;
• Coordination with IT team for updating system in terms of VAT tax codes;
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT returns and filing the same on FTA portal;
• VAT registration and /or closing of registration for building as well as DOAM / Nationwide Management Services;
• Providing ad-hoc and other decision support;
• Filing clarifications before tax authorities, if required;

Value Added Tax

• Review entire DOAM, Nationwide and DOAM Managed building data like revenue /invoice register, purchase register, sample invoices, vendor payment detail, aging report.
• Develop & implement VAT principles, policies and processes to ensure completion and compilation of VAT mechanism across all entities.
• Review of the updating of corrections suggested.
• Coordinate with IT to establish appropriate tax systems and processes throughout the Group (DOAM & Its Managed Buildings & Nationwide), including organizational Tax mapping and user training, working closely with IT on appropriate system recommendations.
• File VAT returns of the Entity/Group and prepare Audit Files or any supporting schedules/ Documentation responses as may be required by Tax Authorities.
• Ensuring Group is up-to-date on changes in VAT legislation’s.
• To act as the point of contact for all VAT-related queries and activities
• Recommend appropriate strategies to all management to reduce all obligations and determine complexity of VAT issues.
• Manage the system enhancements and process re-engineering because of VAT implementation.
• Ensure timely payment of VAT
• Ensure timely filing of VAT return on monthly / quarterly basis of DOAM & its Managed Buildings and Nationwide Management Services
• Ensure compliance with Departmental / Company Policies and Procedures.
• Build strong alliances with other departments in order to effectively communicate priorities and areas of opportunity.

External Liasoning
• Liasoning with external auditors to provide the data at the time of Internal audit and Statutory audit.
• Liasoning with Tax authorities for efficiently completion of VAT Audit.

Others
• Actively learn from other finance team members about their areas of responsibility, and participate to the training of other team members on own areas of responsibility
• To support other members of the finance/accounts team with tasks that may not fall within direct area of responsibility
• To support the Department Heads with ad-hoc tasks, as may be required form time to time

Qualification:-
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting,
• CA, CFA, CPA, ACCA, ICWA or equivalent are preferred

Experience & Skills-
• 4 or more years of experience in handling VAT either in Middle East, UAE or India
• Good experience in handling VAT compliance and litigation work
• Experience in working with Oracle e-Business Suite is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel, Word and Power Point)
• User friendly with systems and keen interest in automation of processes
• Data mining, analysis and excellent reporting skills
• Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• An effective communicator with excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
