Role / Team Overview
The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to manage the accounting functions for both the Dubai and Abu Dhabi portfolios, acting as a mentor for the finance teams. This role will include tax submission, budgeting and forecasting processes, variance analysis, maintaining balance sheets, managing payroll expenses and audits, in addition to liaising with key business stakeholders by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best decisions for the business. This role requires a minimum of 1 day per week in the Savills Abu Dhabi Office.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and closing monthly Financial Statements, in accordance with IFRS Standard Group Policy & Procedures
Act as a business partner, providing support to the managers in Dubai, AD & heads of departments
Coordinate with internal and external auditors
Submit monthly Hyperion reports to the group on time
Driving budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring all inputted information is maintained with accuracy and update working files for regular review
Ensure provisions are taken in line with Group ECL Policy & communicated to the Director of Finance
Analyse all lines of the P&L to explain variances versus budget/forecast
Ensure internal financial controls are in place and drive efficiency throughout the department
Lead projects whilst liaising with department heads to achieve accurate and precise forecasts
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet schedules, monthly
Coach, guide and advise finance team members to increase operational efficiency
Support the periodic credit control meetings on collection status and agreeing the actions assigned
Managing payroll expenses of all employee provisions on balance sheet
Ensure the AR and AP functions are aligned to company procedures and protocol
Maintain all customer reconciliations on revenue recognition & ensure all accounts are accurate
Manage all expenditures relating to the region and recharge group on monthly basis
Regular reconciliation of inter-company balances
Help regional teams with the consolidation, budgeting and forecasting
VAT, WHT and Corporate Tax filings by country, liaising with designated third parties to ensure information is audited and checked before filing
Responsible for the accounting of all transactions and ensuring that entries are posted correctly in accordance with IFRS and with Group Policy
Provide monthly cash flow forecasting reports, highlighting areas where funds are required to maintain the operational position of each entity
Skills, Knowledge And Experience
7 years’ of experience required, with a minimum of 2 years’ in a managerial position
Ideally, regional experience in the UAE
Qualified Accountant – (ACCA, ACA or CA)
Relevant experience in a large organisation, preferably a multinational
UAE driving license and car is mandatory
Strong accounting and technical skills in a service company with different lines of business/divisions that operate in a multiple currency environment
Significant exposure to managing finance applications and systems
Ability to deliver continuous process improvements
Analytical solutions for complex and large financial databases
Hyperion experience is an added advantage
Previous experience in leading and mentoring a team
