Finance Manager Required in Dubai
We are in search of a Finance Manager to be part of our growing diverse team for a new project that we have secured. We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager who has worked with construction projects backed with export credit financing and is ready to take on the role and ready to relocate to Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all financial and accounting aspects of the project in the country, including developing and implementing financial strategies, delivering reports, implementing controls, and overall supervising of the function.
The scope of the responsibilities would include:
Makes sure all accounting activities comply with regulations in order to efficiently and effectively run the Finance function and manage the company’s capital and resources well.
Develops and implements systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information to produce accurate financial information.
Develops and implements internal financial controls and ensures financial and audit process and reporting requirements comply with Company, local, and international financial and tax laws, policies, standards, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
Manage month-end closing process for the business unit; Assist in review of financials in order to ensure all accounting numbers match the general ledger and that all fixed assets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable are closed in time for month-end reporting.
Plans, organizes, and directs finance administrative services including reporting, payroll, data processing, and purchasing control process, Petty Cash management.
Ensures appropriate and accurate data entries and bookkeeping activities are completed to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including but not limited to: Trading Statements, Balance Sheet and Project specific profitability reports.
Supports the development and delivery of projects by actively participating and collaborating with the Managers in formulating financial documents for the bid, award, project mobilization, and project management processes.
Effectively manage A/P, A/R, and cash flow to ensure the project has good financial standing and continues operational activities.
Support audits, both internal and external to improve process/ control gaps, continue good practices, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
Implement the GCCS performance management process by setting KPI’s for direct reports, conducting regular reviews, identifying training requirements & provide a coaching, mentoring and supportive role.
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you must have/ be:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Maths or Business Studies. MBA would be advantageous
Professionally qualified Accountant – Must have ACCA, CA or CIMA
Minimum 15 years relevant experience, at least 3 years in the role of Finance Manager with large scale reputable corporate organization
International working experience with a reputable construction company; international experience would be an added advantage
Worked with projects backed with export credit financing
Fluent in English and French
Willing to travel throughout Ivory Coast, including remote locations
Expertise in core finance functions including preparing/reviewing and management of annual budget, cash flow planning & management, financial reporting, bank reconciliations, financial risk management, and knowledge of financial systems
Knowledge of IFRS, understanding of applicable Labor law
Equivalent size and scope of the role, i.e. multiple project locations, ideally similar industry
MS Office – Advanced
