Develops and maintains appropriate Environmental program records. Studies all means of occupational environment and Safety in working places. Evaluates materials and equipment to control any work place hazard. Establishes work rules and communicates information to employees to insure safe work habits and the use of appropriate hygienic & protection methods. Studies all hotel areas & propose major steps to be followed regarding safety, coordinates with the Engineering to produce reports on safety & environmental matters. Evaluates Environmental concerns associated with new modified materials, operations and facilities. To Study the safety measures and recommend any improvement, or change when needed. Maintains an inventory of chemicals used in the hotel and obtaining technical data regarding their use, handling and disposal. To develop working relationships within the hotel that will maintain and attain high-level employee morale. To conduct himself in a manner as to encourage fellow employees to do likewise. To be always efficient, courteous and pleasant and to show at all times a helpful attitude and never to talk in a loud voice to other employees. To be aware of all house rules and policies and not only to obey them, but to cooperate in maintaining them. Responsibility and Authority: Is well acquainted with the emergency procedures i.e. fire, bomb threat, medical and power failure. Is prepared to work overtime as and when required. Is able to deal efficiently and effectively with all employees and department heads. Identifies training needs among the Engineering Department Staff and notifies the Fire alarm panel watcher staff. His personal appearance and behavior will at all times be geared on representing the Hotel in the best possible way. Health and Safety: To be aware of and implement all relevant aspects of Health and Safety- legislation and company procedures relating thereto. Training: To attend any internal and external course that management may deem as beneficial.
