Driver Required in Dubai
Roles & Responsibilities
· Drives a low-capacity truck/van/car primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise to deliver packages or transport passengers within a specified area
· Drives multi passenger vehicles to transport passengers between neighborhoods, offices, and airports.
· Checks the conditions of the vehicle’s tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuels, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order.
· Complies with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
· Follows safety rules for the safety of the passengers.
· Picks up and drops off employees/workers at regularly scheduled neighborhood locations, follow strict time schedules.
· Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort. Keeps vehicles interiors clean for passengers.
· Maintains knowledge of first aid procedures.
· Maintains order among passengers during trips in order to ensure safety.
· Prepares and submits reports that may include the number of passenger or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, and/or fares received.
· Reports any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs.
· Reports delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
Desired Candidate Profile
· Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by road, including the relative cost and benefits.
· Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
· Ability to control operations of equipment or system
· Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure vehicle is working properly
· Ability to perform routine maintenance on vehicle and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
· Ability to read written instructions.
