DATABASE ASSISTANT REQUIRED IN DUBAI
Leading international Online Market Research Company requires a Database Assistant to work in the Dubai headquarter to assist in all operation and maintenance processes of large contact databases.
Job description:
• Data entry and applying data updates on existing databases
• Data quality checks and applying correct formats on all data prior to data entry onto databases
• Continuous data quality checks on all existing databases, alerting senior management to significant issues and suggesting corrective actions
• Apply corrective actions on data quality issues/errors within databases
• Provide database support and quality control towards database users on all automated and manual project processes
• Creating instructions to colleagues/programmers regarding required data
• Assist on daily/weekly/monthly and ad-hoc reporting requirements on database content and quality
• Assist with database design, development and optimisation tasks
• Write database documentation including data standards, procedures, maintenance procedures, etc.
Qualifications:
• Computer literacy and fast data-entry/formatting skills
• Good organisational and time management skills with ability to meet strict deadlines as well as working to exceeding set targets
• Experience of previous data entry and data management roles
• Experience with handling, manipulating, formatting, analysing, quality controlling very large databases
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy – excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Strong problem solving skills – logical and critical thinking and demonstrating ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks to deliver required results
• Adaptable and able to pick up new techniques
• Thorough understanding of relational database theory, Microsoft Access, SQL and database technology
