Customer Service Assistant Required in Dubai
Job Purpose
To assist the Shop Supervisor and/or Deputy Supervisor with all aspects of running the store with a view to learning how to operate a successful MMI shop. A Customer Service Assistant should work to improve their product knowledge, and be willing to share and implement ideas that will contribute to the team growing sales, minimising shrinkage and achieving store performance targets
The job holder is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
-Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers and promote the company’s key services in line with the promotions, store business plan and shop sales targets to ensure a consistent customer experience across all of the company’s shops, dealing with customers in a proactive and professional manner
-Effectively utilise all resources to develop and maximise sales, which includes tailoring product displays and store layout to reflect customer demand and trading patterns, monitoring local competition, adopt a creative approach to sales and dealing efficiently with customer queries
-Be responsible for personal learning and development which includes, keeping the ‘Training and Development’ file up to date, increasing product knowledge, attending training courses at Head Office when given the opportunity and be responsible for training new team members
-Practice high level of stock control and cash control in line with the company policies and procedures, training team members where appropriate and monitoring closely the goods that are received from third party suppliers
-Implement health and safety regulations in line with the company’s policies and procedure to ensure that customers and employees are provided with a safe working environment at all times including COVID protocols
-Demonstrate and maintain a professional attitude to work, acting responsibly as an alcohol retailer and ensuring other team members do likewise
-Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager.
Essential:
2 years in customer facing role preferably in Retail
Good communicator
Strong work ethic
