Chief Accountant Required in Dubai - Dubai
The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
Research and analyze expense variances for company management
Develop and implement the internal audit strategy and annual plan.
Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
Provide training to staff on internal audit practices and principles
Preparation of monthly cash flow statement
Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
Generate financial reports and statements to the Finance Manager for review.
Conduct audits of financial statements, operations, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Monitor and report on the implementation of audit recommendations.
Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans.
Respond to accounting inquiries from management accurately and on a timely manner.
Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem-solving situations.
Supervises and participates in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in accounting or commerce or equivalent; with 8 to 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification in a related field will be a plus. (CPA, CMA or ACCA etc)
Experience with auditing and reporting.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in using auditing and accounting software (preferably Microsoft dynamics)
Leadership skills
