Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and Production:
Prepare and produce high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and other baked goods according to the recipes and standards set by the Pastry Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef.
Ensure all pastry items are prepared in a timely manner and meet the presentation standards.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and train junior pastry staff, including Commis Chefs and Apprentices, ensuring they follow recipes and maintain kitchen hygiene.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to junior staff, ensuring effective kitchen operation.

Quality Control:

Monitor the quality of ingredients used and the finished products to ensure consistency and excellence.
Conduct regular tasting sessions to maintain the highest standards of flavor and presentation.

Creativity and Innovation:

Contribute to the development of new pastry items, seasonal menus, and special event offerings.
Stay updated on current pastry trends and techniques, incorporating them into the kitchen’s repertoire.

Inventory and Stock Management:

Assist in managing the inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels.
Coordinate with suppliers to order ingredients, ensuring the use of the freshest and highest quality products.

Kitchen Hygiene and Safety:

Maintain a clean and organized pastry section, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is used properly and maintained in good working order.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth kitchen operations and effective communication.
Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas for menu development and operational improvements.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a head chef or senior chef specializing in Greek cuisine.
Expertise in traditional and contemporary Greek cooking techniques.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy kitchen environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creativity and a passion for culinary innovation.
