JOB SUMMARY
The main duty of the Barista, Water or Waitress is to provide an exceptional experience to the cafe guests with a great customer service and journey, and to prepare all kind off beverages, pastries, and serve food and drinks according to their orders and deliver them the best possible service to create customer retention. He/she must follow without failure the instructions given from the Branch Manager, Supervisor and Head Barista to optimize the operational performance, the revenues and the profitability of the Café or restaurant. Waiters need to be constant on stations, be attentive and ready for business, and report to shift or duty at list 5 min
MAJOR FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
v Prepare and follow all beverages as per brand SOPs.
v Provide the highest standards of service quality and speed to maximize guests’ satisfaction and create the utmost customer satisfactory and retention.
v Maximize the revenue of the assigned station by actively following the instructions of branch management.
v Ensure the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the dining room as well in the back areas as per required standards by providing support in any kind of cleaning job in any area of the restaurant required by branch manager or supervisor.
v Actively promote services and products of the restaurant on a kind approach to the guests, to increase
v Contribute to providing an image of hospitality, cleanliness, and freshness of our restaurant to the customers.
v Work in a team with mutual respect helping colleagues in any kind of task/activity required and needed.
v Perform other related duties as assigned by the Branch Manager/Supervisor / Head Barista or Captain and follow up any kind of priority required to get the smoothest operation in the restaurant.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
v Maintain the Restaurant clean at all times, and fully stocked.
v Make sure, all related equipment, Calibrated, clean, available without any damages, and use these tools to help in preparation.
v Report any damages of fixtures, equipment’s to the duty manager immediate.
v Assist the customers’ needs in a friendly and polite manner by delivering a high-quality service and being the ultimate objective to obtain the guest’s satisfaction.
v Deliver the food and beverages in time by following 100% instructed company standards.
v Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, and enter orders into POS machines for transmittal to kitchen staff.
v Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages as per instructed requirements.
v Present menus to guests and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request, propose and sell the menu items following the upselling techniques.
v Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problem.
v Follow without failure the standard sequence of service as provided in the trainings.
v To be responsible for the readiness of his/her own assigned station, overseeing the satisfaction of his/her customers.
v Present menus to guests and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request, propose and sell the menu items following the upselling techniques.
v Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, and enter orders into POS machines for transmittal to kitchen staff.
v Prepare and serve coffees and hot beverages following 100% SOPs, as trained.
v Prepare and serve cold beverages following 100% OPS.
v Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and inform management for any issue.
v Deliver the bills and collect the payments in cash or credit cards from the customers without failure.
v Make sure all transactions been punched on the POS with minimum correction, and bills are cashed and closed 100% as per cash company policy and report any manipulating cash transaction to management for further actions.
v To report for duty punctually, and always wearing the correct uniform and name tag.
v Always maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
v To know all products, food and beverages stated on the menus, including ingredients and menu price.
v To be aware of any special offer of the day/week and keep suggesting all our promotion with every customer passing by the store, to optimize our revenues.
v To attend meetings when requested and to follow instructions of the Supervisors without discussion.
v Provide daily the correct set-up and mise-en-place of restaurant, bar, and the stations as per instructed standards.
v Utilize with the utmost professionalism and correctness the restaurant equipment and machinery.
v Communicate politely in English with customers, colleagues, and managers, avoid using different languages during duty times.
v Maintain a friendly and polite behaviour towards both customers and colleagues to create the utmost comfortable atmosphere.
v Maintain a proper personal hygienic and grooming standard.
v Managing cash, valuables and protecting the company's assets.
v Attend the daily and weekly training sessions with effectiveness.
v Attend the food safety trainings and any other kind of update activity requested by the local authorities and implement the HAACAP always slandered.
v Attending Food Control certification and get qualified, if two times failure the cost will be shouldered to the employee and “PIP” Personal improvement plan will be scheduled for 15 days.
v Full fill daily the attendances sheets correctly indicating the starting time, the break timing, and the closing time.
v Follow Company rules in matter of safety, behaviour, punctuality as per requirements given by Branch Manager, HR Manager, and other Corporate Managers.
v Ensures facility is maintained in a neat and professional manner.
v Follow 100% without failure the respective stations checklists according to the shifts (opening-/closing/mid-shift).
v Follow 100% without failure the respective stations cleaning schedules according to the shifts.
v Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
v Receiving products from supplier, and stocking them on its designated areas, and monitor FIFO of all products at all times.
v Help in inventory counts if requested by Store manager.
v Never service wrong or unsafe Food and Beverage at any time, and make sure food safety been always followed.
