Barista Required in Dubai - Dubai
We are searching for an engaging, courteous barista who is passionate about food and beverage preparation and education. The barista will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.
To succeed as a barista, you should be committed to providing customers with excellent service. You should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments
Preparing foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, and grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers
Sell coffee, coffee grinding and brewing equipment by explaining the differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipment operates.
Prepares coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, cafe latte, cappuccino, etc.
Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar
Knows basic accounting and use of POS system.
Keep equipment functional by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment and adhere to organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils
Improve the quality results by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the coffee bar
Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality
Working as part of a fun, high-energy team
Experience and Qualifications
Proficiency in the English language
Exceptional listening and communication skills
Must be well presented and professionally groomed at all times
Good customer service skills; good problem resolution skills
Adequate F&B product knowledge
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred
A polite, engaging personality
Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence
Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment
Suitable candidate will be reporting directly to the Manager/Owner.
