As a Banquets Supervisor, you’ll welcome our guests, help keep service on-track and up to standard. By tailoring each guest’s event experience to their unique tastes, you’ll create memories as delightful as the dishes.
Core work activities:
To assist the Banquet Manager / Assistant in ensuring that both direct and indirect departmental costs and revenue are achieved in line with the budget / forecast.
Minimize overtime and maximize productivity.
Regular training to be conducted for all the colleagues and to ensure that they participate in all training courses conducted by the Training Department and to allow colleagues for cross exposure training during low season in other department.
Help create a safe space by following our safety procedures and wearing necessary protective equipment
To have a good knowledge about size and specifications of Banquet equipment and furniture.
To have complete knowledge of Meeting room Sizes, Capacity in each room and set up details
Give guests a better experience by helping with any queries or advice
Liaise with guests in the Banquet ensuring at all times that guests receive the discreet and elegant service associated with the Crowne Plaza Brand
Consistently provide and maintain the highest standard of guest care and service to achieve the target of Heartbeat
Assist in handling any guest complaints or problems promptly and to ensure that all resolved / unresolved incidents are reported to your Banquet Manager / Assistant Banquet Manager
Promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy and an extremely high standard of social skills.
Generally promote and ensure good inter-departmental relations
Display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.
Wear your uniform with pride - demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance at all times when representing the hotel thus identifying a high level of commitment.
Adhere to Company and Hotel rules and regulations at all times
Report any equipment failures/problems to the Maintenance Department
Pass any maintenance requests to the Maintenance Department
Participate in any Training/Developments schemes as recommended by senior management
Ensure that the OHS Policy is well communicated within the department.
Skills, experience and educational requirements
Preferably a degree / diploma in hotel management or equivalent
Previous experience in similar job role or minimum 3 to 4 years experience as Banquet Captain
Excellent leadership skills with the proven ability to lead and motivate team members
Strong organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
Flexible, Articulate and Accountable
Computer literate (MS office) with effective and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
