Role Description The Director role at BRAC University Computer Club is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Director oversees the club’s strategic direction, plans and executes annual activity calendars, and coordinates events such as workshops, seminars, and industry meetups. Daily responsibilities include supervising executive members, managing communication with industrial IT professionals, and fostering collaboration with university departments and external partners. The Director is also responsible for budgeting and resource allocation, monitoring project progress, and ensuring initiatives align with the club’s mission to prepare students for the job industry. The role involves regular stakeholder meetings, documentation of activities, and continuous improvement of programs based on student feedback and industry trends.Qualifications
Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills to guide a diverse group of student members and volunteers.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for engaging students, faculty, and industry professionals.
Demonstrated experience in event planning, project coordination, and community or club management.
Awareness of current IT industry trends, basic understanding of technology career paths, and interest in bridging academia and industry.
Ability to work on-site full time in Dhaka, Bangladesh, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate reports and documentation.
Previous experience in student organizations, leadership roles, or related extracurricular activities is highly beneficial.
Enrollment in or completion of a bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
