Accounting Officer Required in Dubai
We are looking for an Accountant with Minimum 3 years experience within the F&B/Hospitality industry to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we're compliant with all tax regulations.
Responsibilities
Responsible for dealing with the cost controls at all levels, including the reduction and minimization of wastage of food.
Consistently monitoring the quality, sales and cost of purchases as well as preparing Flash reports on a
weekly and monthly basis.
Maintains cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements, and resource planning.Cost Report and auditing the daily inventory sheet of sales outlets.
Develops and maintains sales and margin reporting.
Preparing monthly bank reconciliation statements, clearing discrepancies and controlling cash flow.
Preparing vouchers and maintaining books of accounts, incorporating the general, debtors and creditors ledgers as well as debit & credit note and stock registers, to name a few.
Managing all general accounting operations.
Preparing the company's current financial status reports
Submit periodic financial reports on the company's position to the CEO and relevant departments
Maintain backup copies of financial records
Suggesting solutions and financial measures to fix the financial problems of the institution
Preparing budgets, income statements, profit and loss reports, income and expenses, and all other reports Maintain confidentiality of financial data
Entering accounting data and financial files into computer systems Archiving and organizing financial operations and organizing them in an easy way
Documents financial transactions by entering account information
Maintains accounting controls by recommending policies and procedures Secure financial information by completing database backups.
Analyze and report on the financial position including variances in the income statement, reporting financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.
Oversight of taxes and compliance with federal regulations.
Develop, implement, modify and document record keeping and accounting systems, and make use of current computer technology.
Negotiate terms of business deals and moves with clients and associated organizations.
Advise management on issues such as resource use, tax strategies, and the assumptions behind budget projections.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
MUST HAVE experience in retail or restaurant accounting
Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to commute/relocate
Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
