We are looking for an experienced Accountant with a proficient accounting background and an understanding of effective financial reporting and control environments. The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits.
Functional Responsibilities:
Execute transactional accounting and report drafting activities (including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets accounts, financial closures, and taxation) according to set procedures and standards.
Coordinate data collection activities for payments and ensure that all information related to accounts payable transactions are captured.
Determine appropriate payment schedules and amounts.
Coordinate the development and update of the weekly payment schedule based on realized cash outflow.
Regularly monitor the outstanding payments, conduct analysis on the receivables-related data and prepare reports.
Coordinate account receivables verification activities and draft reports on collection/ receivable performance.
Provides accurate, timely information to support external, internal, and client audits.
Prepare periodic reports (e.g., management reports, governmental reports) by following our company processes and standards.
Maintaining a tracker and reconciliation between monthly revenue billed versus claims submitted.
Develop tax reports and conduct filling activities according to United Arab Emirates tax and VAT standards.
Provide necessary documentation to internal/ external auditors during quarterly and year-end financial statement reviews.
To qualify for the role you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree
2-3 Work experience as an Accountant in the UAE
Practical knowledge UAE tax and VAT laws
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Hands-on experience with accounting software like Zoho Books and QuickBooks
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups & pivot tables and fluency in MS Office
Work experience in corporate services or similar environment
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
