Accountant Required in Dubai

Accounting professionals play an integral role in all companies regardless of sector. Some common job functions include administering payroll, managing budgets, keeping balance sheets and inventory, and carrying out billing activities, among others. Accountants need to be able to create accurate and detailed reports to illustrate data and effectively oversee financial transactions of several departments within an organization.

Responsibilities

Process all supplier invoices in a timely manner
Reduce fraud and risks
Approve employee expense claims, as well as communicate and enforce the company's travel and business expense policy
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, unpaid invoices and vendor statement reconciliations, working directly with vendors and internal business partners alike
Work with cross-functional teams to resolve vendor and invoice processing matters
Consolidate most manual commerce processes to reduce errors
Work proactively to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness when processing invoices
Assist in month-end processes including prepaid expenses and reconciliations, and payroll
Preparation of weekly payment runs, and urgent payment runs, if any.
Follow company processes, controls and policies

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
2 years of accounting experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) knowledge is required.
Strong numerical and analytical abilities
Excellent problem-solving and time-management abilities
Detail-oriented and well-organized
Excellent command of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Excellent math skills
Integrity and confidentiality
Excellent English is a must
