Accountant Required in Dubai - Dubai
DESCRIPTION:
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Project Costing: Oversee project accounting, including tracking and monitoring project budgets, costs, and profitability. Ensure timely and accurate job costing reports.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor payments, client billing, and collections while ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts.
Inventory & Asset Management: Monitor and manage inventory, equipment, and other project-related assets in compliance with financial controls.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations and assist with the preparation of tax returns.
Contract Accounting: Manage accounting processes related to long-term contracts, including revenue recognition, billing milestones, and retention payments.
Payroll: Assist with payroll processing and maintain records of employee expenses.
Audit & Internal Controls: Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Software: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or industry-specific platforms) for financial reporting and project management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPEREINCE:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction or interior design industry.
Experience with project-based accounting and cost accounting.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights to improve financial performance.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
