Accountant Required in Dubai - Dubai
The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the petty cash transactions, vouchers and the cash reconciliation monthly.
Responsible for entering the Journal Vouchers on SAP.
Preparing the WH activities invoices monthly on SAP.
Responsible for the calculation and verification of VAT applied to invoices
Keep abreast of VAT laws impacting the financial operations
Preparing salaries and booking the related journal voucher monthly on SAP.
Preparing debit notes and credit notes.
Preparing the payment of cheques and receipt vouchers.
Preparing the bank reconciliations report monthly.
Ensure the correctness & completeness of the “in and out” quantities in client’s list of shipments monthly.
Checking of the leave balance for all employees at the time of their annual leave.
Responsible for the insurance policies, the renewal, the charges, the benefit, the coverage of building and employees against the associated risk. And perform fixed assets count annually.
Provides financial information and prepares regular reports as advised by the management.
Responsible for all the archiving of all documents in the finance department.
Support and coordinate with the other members of the finance department for any additional task.
Responsible of the external audit. Working with the audit company staff, provide them with the requested data and submit the final audited financials to JAFZA.
Checking, discussing & updating the rates of the customers (transportation & other service rates) together with the GM & HOD at the time of contract renewal, expiry or new RFQs.
Responsible for updating the financial policies in line with local and global financial standards and recommend changes when necessary.
To ensure that the established internal rules by the Management with financial impact are followed.
Responsible for the bank facilities and maintaining the relationship with the bank.
Checking and signing all the purchase orders (POs) to ensure the alignment with the budget in addition to agreed payment terms.
Responsible for preparing, checking and finalizing the trial balance before the closing.
Preparing the financial closing on monthly basis.
Comparing the actual figures with the budgeted figures and the prior years on a monthly basis, reporting the variances and analyzing the reasons.
Qualifications & Requirement:
5+ years' of professional accounting experience
Working experience on SAP or other ERPs is a MUST
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
CA/CPA preferred
Candidate must be in Dubai with UAE experience.
